I am preparing to give a few Seminars to some local groups.

The Topic is:

Things That Offend Others; Not things that are said, but "Things you see...Signs/Symbols, etc., such as one might wear on a T-shirt"..

For instance, I know some are offended by The "Rebel Flag"....Others by a "Swastika.."

What offends you?

Scares the helk out of me....

Probably anything that dishonors my country's flag. I am very patriotic, being a military wife most all my life.

But, not saying I would want to ban someone's expression...just saying that yes, certain things may offend me.

I say if they don't like this country ship them somewhere else.

And yes, the very same thing offends me.

I still feel hurt and offended when people flip their middle finger.
I'm offended and sickened by pornographic pop-ups and spam. And, grossed out by people who insist on showing it to others at all.
And, I find it utterly ungentlemanly to see men spit in public. It's not just unsanitary, it is a disgusting habit of unrefinedness.

Well...I got pretty upset at someone yesterday for generalizing women in a negative way. I guess I really don't like it when people decide what I'm like because I may fall into a certain category.

Religious bigotry offends me. Including those little wwjd type decals.

when i see violence.. more so a man twords a woman or anyone twords a child

i used to have this neighbor lady...who would let her dogs out in the morning to go poo in others front yards of course she just opened the door and didnt go out with them or clean it up and let them back in after they were done.... one neighbor gathered all the poo in a bucket and dumped it in her yard

I agree, unless it is way out of character for them to even swear at all.
I myself, even though I spent 9 years in the army, and 9 years as a cop, swear very little. To hear more than the word damn come out of my mouth makes all my friends sit up and notice that I'm upset.

I have thrown out complete sentences of swearwords, and it was a jumble of the 6 different languages that I can swear in. My friends were shocked, to say the least.
