when i seen her I knew the possibilities i had to explore.
would she except my advances, or show me to the door.
as we talk and learned about each other's life.
i had to ask myself. how could a man have wanted her to be his ex-wife.

as we dated and learned so much more. wow things were going really great.
i started asking myself. "could this be what people call my soul mate?"
after sometime had past. I finally got on a knee and ask her for her hand.
my heart was beating ever so fast when she said yes. as i offered her a golden band

we walk together in life with all it's ups and it's downs.
but we she says "I love you" it is still the most beautiful sound.
after countless years and so many memories as we look around
I know that true love is out there with compassion and laughter abound.

as i lay here with my life i know coming to a close.
her love has always been as beautiful as the morning dew kissing a red rose.
my time has come. but i will leave you with these last words.
it is worth it all. to give up on experiencing true love would be absurd
