How come when you’re wearing a hat it feels like you’re not and when you take it off it feels like it’s still on?

Guys are used to having something on their 'head' if you know what I mean.
Gals are also used to having 'hats' of a sort on their bewbies.
Neither of which answers the question.

The answer is that the head accommodates the ring and weight of the hat, and thence there exists a muscular and other adaptation that remains and is pronounced with the removal of the hat.
Similar feelings occur when removing a backpack, or a gunbelt, etc., after wearing for hours.
