good day to stay indoors and get some long overdue chores done......I've been doing that pretty much all week, catching up on those chores and even re-aranged my bedroom

I'm doing OK, the not smoking is still NO SMOKING.

I chew the heck out of the coffee stirrers that I bought at walmart the other day. I was so thrilled when I found them there. They come packaged with 250 in a box for next to nothing of a cost...so I went crazy and bought 2 boxes. Between that and the cinnamon gum and just keeping busy I am going to beat this. It's almost been a week!!!!!

Thats great, I haven't quit yet but working on it. My daughter had some atomic fire balls, which is a really hot cinnamon. When I get a urge I pop one of those suckers in. Man they set your mouth on fire, you really don't want a smoke after that.

Congratulations on the week smoke free. Try washing things down with household amonia solution. It will break out the microscopic nicotine in fabrics and surfaces. Replace your bed pillow too. Buy a really luxurious one with the money you are saving NOT buying smokes. So proud of you keep going at about 10 days your sense of taste will start to improve and the headache will start backing off.

Thanks Music, Cat, and Sage all is well. No damage for me. :) A friend is over still don't have power cooling off here and charging cell phone putting stuff in the fridge to stay good. Made breakfast and coffee. Doesn't live very far either. Some places do around here and some don't just depends on power lines.

How is everybody doing today? I live in South Central Alabama and all we have got for the storm is a little light wind, no rain or anything. I think we are supposed to get a little rain in the early part of the week. On the quitting smoking, all the things you guys have said are good, but the key to quitting smoking is will power and finding something to occupy your hands and mind. I have been smoke free for over 9 years after smoking for 35 years. In the end I was a 3 pack a day smoker, so just keep the faith and you will win.
