Topic: A penny's worth | |

You come to me with sorrow Then tell me all your fears For what its worth Fear is something of human nature And so we must take a chance If you save a penny each day Then a penny will grow Until you get a penny’s worth Of life and its teachings You come to me with a sigh Then tell me all your confusion For what its worth Confusion is of human nature And so we must decide on which direction We will go But if you save a penny each day Then a penny will grow Until you get a penny’s worth You come to me but once more with a tear in your eye I ask you Have you not learned from my mouth? A penny is worth a lesson And a lesson is taught every day It has meaning In life’s simple way If you save your pennies Then each day you will have earned more Then what you originally bargained for If you must seek a friend Then know that I am here However it is you Who has to live your life And I will just be here to guide you If there are any ?Ns please feel free to ask |

Good Write
You just reminded me of something my sister and I used to say as kids, "Find a penny, pick it up, now your drinking 7 up" That just sounds hilarious now. Not sure what it means but I think I like that saying now even more than I did as a kid. |
