In Dream

There she waits
With silver streaks upon her head,
And translucent trails upon her cheeks.
Waiting for an angel to come.

With stares aloft
To skyward bound
And heavy heart
She feels to drown,
Within her visions so wondrous fair.

An adventure lived
which she awaits
With thoughts of fate
That lead her homeward bound.

Waiting for the angel she seeks
Or knight to whisk
Her from light feet.
She knows he's only a breath away.

So much to do,
So much to learn,
Yet still she pines
With urge to burn,
And still she sits in wait.

Dear child you are
And shall ever be
The dearest one perceived.

With closed eyes,
She dares to dream
Of thoughts and life,
Of sweet release.

She yearns to see
This angel
She's dreamt to be.
