Love about OKLAHOMA: Oklahoma is the people. We have multi. representives in the government at the Whitehouse to entertainment. We have our forefathers that came here from all over the world just over 100 yrs. ago. Some of us kenw those people that made OKLAHOMA what it is today. Some of even knew our grandfathers and grandmothers that were brought here by the government and left here to live or die on the reservations. The people that live here have made it the greatest state anyone can live in. The beauty and convience of the state is just the advantage of living here. There is good and bad everywhere one might go. We have much to be proud of when we say that we are from OKLAHOMA. Me I was breed and born here. Proud of it!

I'm from NY but have to say I consider myself an Okie first.
It's the people I love. I hear alot of people complain about how there is nothing to do here, but if you're creative or take a little initiative there is plenty to do. |

What I love about Oklahoma besides the Oklahoma State Cowboys.....is its always changing. Lived here all my life and everything is changing and towns are growing and we have the friendliest people around. The only thing I dislike is the way people in other states view us...they think we are hicks , stupid and that the land is flat and we have nothing but cactus and dust in our state. But when times are bad or something horrible happens like Tornados, bombs ect ...we Oklahomans pull together and work together This is a great State...well thats my 2 cents worth LOL.

AMEN to that.
Oklahoma is the greatest place to live. I moved to Oklahoma from Kansas when I was 9 years old, and I have lived away from here for several years, but I am so proud to be back in my homeland among my family and dear friends and the most I like about Oklahoma besides the friendly people, smiling faces and all, is the open spaces, woods and wilderness. When I lived in So uth Carolina, that is what I missed the most. I missed the gravel roads, seeing for several miles and roaming cattle, horses etc. My grandfather, born and bread in Oklahoma (which at the time was Indian Territory) in Osage county, always referred to the part he grew up in as God's Country and believe me, I can sure see why. He was right. I thank God for this wonderful state. When the bombin in Oklahoma City happened back in 1995, I was in South Carolina and it really made me mad that somebody could do something so terrible to my home state. I was very saddened and touched by all the compassion that was felt world wide. Tragedies such as that and tornadoes and all, bring people closer together. We all pull together. Blessed here for sure. I am proud to be from Oklahoma. |
