I just got a phone call from a woman who has been a very good friend of mine almost my whole life. Her husband passed away last night from a heart attack. Angie is my age, 53, has a little girl that's going to first grade this fall. She has had to struggle her whole life, and now is facing this. Please, send prayers her way. flowerforyou

sorry to hear about your friends loss. That has to be very difficult, especially with a small child.

Thank you, Sws2, MisKim, and CB. Angie is such a good woman, kindhearted, sweet. I really can not say enough good things about her.
Her husband had his first heart attack about two years ago, and they've been struggling to make ends meet ever since. They were just now getting straightened out. Things were starting to look up, and now this. She is just devastated to say the least.

Crazy how this stuff always seems to happen on the upswing, huh? There's never any logic.

Hopefully, she'll weather the storm and live a decent life. She has a baby who has her whole life ahead and her mom can make it great for her with the help of good friends like you. flowerforyou

Thank you Joe, Flame, Tanya, Morning, and Lcjw for your prayers. I stopped at Angie's house with some supper for them last night after work. We sat and talked a long time. She is doing as well as can be expected.

Thank you to all that have sent prayers her way! The people here at JSH/Mingle2 are the BEST!

Guide Me Through These Dark Days

printer friendly

O Lord, I am torn up with grief.
I know you are there, but I cannot see past
my sorrow and tears.
Be with me, Lord, and do not take
my unhappiness to heart.
Rather, work within me to guide me through
these dark days
and bring your light to my life,
so that I may see your goodness, even in my mourning.
