Not the sect, but the intensity.

Not the sect, but the intensity.

If you have a religion , later or sooner it will influence your politics .

It does influence me but there are multiple factors. Like how much their religion influences them, are they respectful of differing views, are they intent on converting others to their religious views using their political office and other factors as well.

I have thought before we'd be better off with an atheist because if the president believed this is the only life you live and there is no heaven or hell they might be less likely to engage in activities that might hasten the use of weapons of mass destruction.

Perhaps there will be a day when the Republican side as of the Democratic presidential candidates stand on stage in front of a news channel and Chris Mathews asks that one question like they did this year: Tell me how important is religion to you," as he points at the first candidate.

That candidates says," Religion is the thing of the past. What is important is we get this country back on track again!

Now imagine the first agnostic or atheist president. Would you think it would be a good idea or bad?

I think as long as he can preserve peace and keep the economy going without putting us further in debt, it would be a great thing and it doesn't matter.

Now you tell me!

I vote for candidates that are aligned with our constitution & B o R's.

Not social engineers & those who want to interfere with parental rights & freedom of speech on those who disagree with them.

I think it will be an excellent idea .
He will see all people the same .
In few years it might happen and I do not see why not .

It is reality and sad enough , if you are a religious person , your religion will affect your politics . It does not mean I agree with it but it is done like that . For instance all Jews around the world support Israel by all means because Israel is a Jewish state .

Not really..................well if you are an atheist which isn't a religion i would have to question that though............

Atheists are the best politicians if they are not influenced by interest groups .
