Might be a fungus infection. I would have a doc check it out. Like athletes foot. Regular lotion wont help.

Could be that they're getting raw from being wet and walking on rough ground. Try some water shoes (once an infection has been ruled out, of course). My son's would do that occasionally.

it goes away on its own..like if we skip the pool for a few days...

They make those little water shoes. Maybe get them. The pool bottoms are really rough on feet. Might need to put A&D Ointment on them, then cotton socks, (at night while he sleeps), until they heal.

that is some good ideas. I had not thought of vasoline before getting in the pool..

we did lotion/neosporin/socks last night..but it didt help...maybe a&d ointment would help the heal too
