I really hate doing this, but please read with an open mind. It's really not hard to do, it's just a topic:thumbsup:

I was reading someone's post and there are some things that this person is not sure about themselves and it's ok, but it made me think how many people are really like that. What gets you to that point that you would have to think things that happen in your life that has nothing to do with you and you end up blaming yourself. I have in the past,but i move on, it's not somthing to hang on to. but i see how alot do and i'm like why, when there is so much more to a person.

So, if you feel this way at times. What do you do to get out of that mood?

Talk to friends and family. Think it through and when all else fails write it down. List the whys and why nots of a particular situation and it might help to bring it into better focus.

I get myself out of "myself" and get out of the house. Get my mind on something else. Talk to friends if necessary. Oh and pray a lot.flowerforyou

There is always So much more to a person than their profile. Be open to that! Most are shy and insecure about offering to much and MOST people can read beyond that is they are confident in themselves.

Those who cannot, need to re-evaluate thmselves :banana: :banana:

Thing is sometimes our brain and heart get a little foggy over things. But when you write it down it is all there in front of you...

I was thinking about that word confident. working on that is where it stands. profiles are one thing, but was reading this on the forum and have seen a couple people do this, over and over. learning how to build your confident's is a big step for some, but once that get there, a whole new world will open up for themsmile2

A lot of people think they have to take the issues of the world on thier own shoulders. But I think that stepping back and taking a look at your own actions, wants, needs, is a healthy thing. It means you are willing to evalute, change, grow. Writing down your feelings is also great, it puts things into perspective to see it in black and white. But while you can take control and change things in your own life you can't always change things in someone else's life, although at times you may be able to make a difference.

I give you the Serenity Prayer...

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

I know the serenity prayer:smile: and i know what you mean about steping back and looking at what one needs to do for themselves. It's learning how to do that, knowing that is the first step.
