I talked to my daughter when she was 10 and it seemed she already knew
alot.. It is amazing how fast kids have grown up compared to when I was
in school.. at 10 I did not care about boys and kissing and such but now
a days they know more than we do.. we just had a 11 yr old girl have a
baby.. To fast I tell you to fast.. And I agree with old sage you have
to talk.. My 16 year old and I are very close.. We talk about everything
and I make it a point to let her friends know who I am and that I am
there for them also.. But when you do that be prepared you may hear
things from the other kids that are so sad and you are totally not ready
for, butit keeps your own child close and lets you know what is going on
with her friends and the world around them.. Also be prepared for your
house to be the house to hang out at.. I cannot remember a weekend I
have not had more than three kids here at a time for the weekend.. But I
know where my daughter is and she likes it that was... Good luck. Hope
