or seconds and inches...
Sometimes, things just seem to work out for the good... What's your story of narrowly missing 1 - A great love or fortunate circumstance 2 - A great tragedy Hmmmmm???? |

I'll take 2...many times over...but I'm still hopeful

Etrain...I'm so disappointed. I rarely write such fantastic poetry as I did for you on Angel's thread...you haven't even seen it.

My life has been a series of serendipitous experiences...too many to delineate here, really. Guess I must be a lucky one!

hmmm Well Montana, I didn't get to miss the tragedy. BUT...things can certainly turn around in life. I'm still here and I move on. No matter the path my life has taken, and the pain no one knows I saw, I will move along in love, light and truth to a greater thing.

Auburn...you forgot to add your serendipitous experience, all because of a game of Twister!!! |

I don't know about missing a great love, but had I decided to drive home cross country from the Naval Training Center in San Diego with a couple of friends instead of changing my mind and flying, I'd have died. The car flipped over and killed all three of my friends.

The car flipped over and killed all three of my friends. Yes, that's serendipity. Tragic for your friends...and a loss for you, to be sure. But everytime something like this happens in my life, I realize again that I'm here for a purpose and I better not waste it! |

Ya know What Montana? That has been a hard hard lesson for me, but one that I finally realized in its truth.

Even coming from a time when I didn't want to be here at all.

Ya know What Montana? That has been a hard hard lesson for me, but one that I finally realized in its truth. I know, darlin'. It's a crazy sense of bittersweet. I'm glad that you are finding life and love. |

Thank you! I'm still here. Why? I don't know that I will ever get that answer. Why was HE taken? I won't get that one either and I've long given up trying. I prefer to hang on to what little mind I have left!
But I am and he would want good things for me. And I have found that one good thing. |

I prefer to hang on to what little mind I have left! But I am and he would want good things for me. And I have found that one good thing. It's natural to think about the "why's" and "what if's"...and it's okay to continue to seek those answers, if we don't drown in them. Just know that you have a purpose and a reason - he did too! He added to your life immeasurably, I'm sure. So, maybe it's up to you to take the love that was shown to YOU and pass it on.... Don't mean to be so heavy - I just felt like I needed to say it. |

I was late getting out of Chicago once because of my STUPID cell phone and the lack of towers and... grrrrr.
A half hour late. By time I got near Rockford, traffic was backed up for miles. A half-hour before, there was a semi / multiple car fiery accident. It happened right about the time I would've been there, if not for my cell phone. |
