Luminescence Of Camp

Dusk settles upon camp
And the bugs are coming out biting,
It's time to start cooking
So the wood, I start lighting.
The moon is out and full
Dancing among the clouds,
The peace and serenity
Away from the noisy crowds.

Hearing the sounds of night
With the locusts chirping,
My youngest daughter is cute
Sitting over there burping.
The crackling of the fire
As the wood, burns and pops,
I wished this peacefulness
Didn't come to a stop.

The moon now is nigh
The clouds, etched in white,
Watching the hours roll by
On a beautiful night.
It's time to go lay down
For my peaceful nap,
Fluffing up my bed space
Now, I take off my cap.

Thank you ladies, I tried to make it feel like you were there.

And whilst I was sleeping.
Came a silly ole' bear.
While trying to get at some food.
Got her head stuck in some underware.
I woke up to laughter.
From my daughter it seems.
Saw the bear and realized,
It was'nt a dream.
Scared the bear off with a loud scream.
My daughter said but Dad, perhaps she was'nt mean.
