Your peers are right. You can edit your post by deleting what you wrote. The headline of the topic cannot be edited, however. If you wish to have the entire thread/topic you started deleted you can contact Charles or one of the moderators.

That is not possible, no. Such a feature is suggested every now and then, but it would cost too much, unfortunately.
