about 2 years ago after graduation,i decided i wanted to join the marines,i went down to the recruiting station, and did all the stuff,i take the asvab and fail. After that is when the annoyance starts,i get mail from them, recruiters come to my house and i get phone calls, and this happens for a couple of months.2 years later i fell im more ready and that very same day,i get a phone call from a recruiter, and wants me to come in,and take the asvab,i pass, and a week later,i get sworn in.So do you think that they are watching me? and do you think that they are too pushy?

Does it really matter if you thought they were too pushy 2 yrs ago? If you feel like you are ready now, isn't that what is important? And of course the fact that you passed the asvab!

I realize that. Just asking why that matters, if you are ready now anyway? Are you fearful that is a sign of things to come with them? Could it be that recruits are just low so they are more persistent?

As ex military and an exmilitary dependent I know that recruiters work on a quota and will do whatever they need do to fill it. If pushy is called for thats what they do.

But you wanted to joi the marines so their pushiness got you what you wanted.

I am not trying AT ALL to be mean in anyway, because I like you Wolf.... But how the heck do you fail the ASVAB? Seriously, I never known anybody to fail those until recently. A 19yr old kid I worked with told me he failed and his score was a 34. I think a High 30 passes? I thought I did bad when I got an 86.

Did you ask them if there was any way they knew how you can improve? Maybe do or run little exercises, because I think part of it is just focus.

Oops, I didn't read it all. Okay you passed. Good.

Maybe they WERE pushy as they saw you had the potential in every other way and knew that you just needed to fine tune your skills to pass the exam.

I spent 9 years active army. i went through basic(army boot camp) twice beacause i got out for a year and a half, then went back in and changed jobs.

Start by having your friends eat something stanky (not stinky, STANKY), like a garlic/onion sammich, and then have them yell right in your face. Next, have them cut you, your mom, gramma, sisters, aunts, and the rest of your family down by saying they sleep around.

after that, have them yell at you that you're dumber than whale poop, and uglier than a cow's rectum.

next comes the fun stuff..lol

just remember.. IF you change your mind about going in, you have to be sworn in a second time at the meps station. if you don't do that, you can back out, and go home.
