Has anyone else been touched by 911, Iraq, recent natural disasters? I had a distant cousin die in the Trade Towers, a ex-brother in law worked in the Pentagon when it was hit, my nephew died last year in Iraq.... Do you know anyone that has been effected by these events? The news makes it seem so distantly impersonal...

I am so sorry for your great loss...and I don't know one single person in the United States that has not been affected, I may not have lost a relative, but we have all lost fellow Americans in this battle and indeed it has touched us ...one and all

i9 thnk there have been a lot of ppl to be afected by it i myself have i lost my brother over in iraq not to mention friends that i grew up with many ppl deal with this everyday

No one terribly close to me that I know of has been effected by these. I knew of one OLD friend's fiance' dying in the Trade Center and it was cause to pause thinking about how my sister and another friend USED to work in them back in the 70's & 80's, and it's weird to think that I'd been in those buildings several times, but NOTHING close to what you have known. I'm so sorry!!

For me, I hated that my Dad had to be gone to Korea and Nam, and I am forever grateful and know our family was blessed that he came home alive and in one piece. ((((RIP~ Daddy))))

All of my family is back in NYC.
My Father worked a few blocks away from the Twins.
My brother was a full time college student when the attack happened. He and my father helped the police, firefighters and government pick up the remains of the victims.
My brother join the Marine Corps and is now serving his second tour of duty in Iraq.
I love him so much.
I pray for his safety everyday!
