ok, i have attended all of the churches around where i live, even ones
30-45 inutes away, yet, i can not find one that i undertand, or can relate to, i live on a farm, in the middle of nowhere, and it is difficult to meet people who know anything about any other church. its been about 5 years since i have attended a church regularly. i have been to every kind of church around here... it is just difficult. i found one church when i was in high school that i really liked, i was in the youth group, and one day it was the main pastors day to teach us, and he walked in screaming GD*, JC*, and every cuss word under the sun, about 2/3 of us walked out and never came back. his lesson was (as i was told later) was the meaning of a cuss word. i cant bear to look at that man anymore. i dont know what to do about finding a good church. please, if you have any advice, please send it to my inbox, i dont have much time to get on here to check these things, so anything you could tell me would be greatly appreciated. thank you. samantha |

You don't day what it is that you don't understand about the churches
you have been attending? Perhaps you need to look for a non-denomination church, where they teach only God's love and do NOT adhere to the rituals that man has created. |

The BOOK says that when two or more are gathered in my name, there I am
also. That is church. |

Have they invented 'virtual' churches yet?
The people would watch a live telecast on TV, and then go to a live chatroom to discuss the sermon, they might have e-penpals, weekly (paper) mailings of some sort - something that would allow a person in a rural place to remotely get involved in a church community. |

Have you tried a christian chruch? The use the NIV bible and it is alot
easier to understand. I found one where I live and I enjoy going. |

Sam,
Think of it this way. You are 1/2 the church. Feel comfortable knowing that finding your matching 1/2 of a church is going to take awhile. You may find, like myself, that there's no one particular flavor of christianity that is suited to you. For example, I was raised Catholic. Nothing more to say. I liked the theology and the ritual of Lutheran, but, the ritual ran dry after awhile. I attended an evangelical high-school and that was theologically interesting, to a degree, but so far into the 'drama-scale' that I couldnt tolerate it. I've attended synagogues, and mosques. I'm partial to synagogues, but, overall, I dont "fit in" anywhere. So, if I find someplace suitable, I'll send you a postcard. |

I attend church in a horse barn on Tuesday nights. We eat fried chicken,
baptize in a horse watering trough, and we don't pass a money plate but set feed buckets on the alter so if you want to leave an offering you walk up after the service and throw it in. People show up in Cowboy hats and boots, some in shorts and T shirts with flip flops, some with dirty clothes from digging ditches or running gas pipe, base ball caps and blue jeans. We sit in plastic chairs and worship Jesus Christ. I will email you our website and you can listen to some of the sermons if you would like. |
