that if you have a small dog and it stays inside while you are at work, you should leave a tv or radio on for the animal. If not, the dog may suffer from "dog depression", I mean what the heck?.....My dog stays inside all day with neither and I think he is fine. Has anyone else ever heard of this????

I used to leave the tv on for my puppy - not sure why. Since I put in a doggie door and he can go out and play, I don't leave the tv on anymore.

if a person is gone for long periods of time,my dads friends dog had died,he took it to the vet and they couldnt figure out how it died, the vet said it might have died of lonelyness or something.

My dog used to get separation anxiety and would take both my slippers from the side of the bed down to the basement and lay by the garage door using them as pillows until I would come home.

I've done it before. I just did it on the 4th of July. I wasn't home and fireworks scare dogs. I think that it makes the dog feel like it's not alone.

Dog depression. Yeah pretty soon your pets will get to vote too. With all these animals rights. Then mother nature is going to file a lawsuit on our president.

I don't know about that...but they say if your dog gets their paw stuck in the refrigerator door, they will gnaw off their own leg before letting you catch them drinkin' straight from the milk jug again. laugh
