i really need someone to talk to i am have a realy depressing day and i feel it could get worse.........i cant talk to the people around me and you guyz and girlz on here are like family....i really need help and someone to talk to right now

i have lost my job, my ex is threatening me and my children, i am trying to raise 2 young children on no income or childsupport, my grandparents are being emotionally and mentally abusive and have been for years it is just all starting to get to me and i cant talk to doctors about it cause they will just lock me up and throw away the key if i dont talk about it im going to

Yeah, I've noticed the Bird of Paradise has made a concerted effort to majorly crap on you of late. I'm so sorry you are going through all of this. There are no easy answers and I'm not going to feed you platitudes like "This, too, shall pass". It sounds like just a really rough, draining time for you.

Doctors will not lock you up unless you make statements that you are a danger to yourself or others, so stop being afraid of that! Have you tried a local shelter for food and community resources? There is one close to me that provides babysitting while the mothers go to counseling, and they don't need to be staying there. Also, Children's Services was designed to help. If you call and ask for help they will give it to you. Whatever you need.....they give people beds, money, referrals to services, respite daycare, transportation assistance, and more. This is why we pay taxes for them.

Doctors will not lock you up unless you make statements that you are a danger to yourself or others, so stop being afraid of that! Have you tried a local shelter for food and community resources? There is one close to me that provides babysitting while the mothers go to counseling, and they don't need to be staying there. Also, Children's Services was designed to help. If you call and ask for help they will give it to you. Whatever you need.....they give people beds, money, referrals to services, respite daycare, transportation assistance, and more. I'm sorry that you have such an onslaught of bad things going on in your life. For me to say that we've all had those times or hang in there, you'll get through it, isn't much help. Try not to think about anything beyond today. Just think about what you need to do today and worry about tomorrow when it comes.

Have you asked your county Family Services for a referral for vocational services? Foodstamps, ADC cash funds? Legal Aid.....

It sounds like you need a lot of support. Is there a local mental health number you can call just to talk. I know there is one in CT but don't know the number.
