Giving them a thumbs up or a thumbs down is entirely a matter of
personnal choice. Just be clear and honest enough to do so basing your choice on what they actually said, ...rather than basing it on a fabricated fib, having nothing to do with what they intended and actually said in the first place. The comment was made BEFORE any soldier was sent to Iraq. Mains said: 'Just so you, I'm ashamed too that the President is from Texas.' She said at a London, England concert, days before brave and courageous american men and women would be sent to fight a war that was then, and is still today based on lie. If you agree with a President using false information, to help justify sending soldiers (US, Great Britain, and other countries) to a war based on that false information?!?!? If you agree, deceit with your own people and with your international allies, is a justified means to an end, and that soldiers SHOULD BE sent to war and risk their lives based on lies and deceit, you would give Maines, of the DIXIE's a tumbs down. We should never lack the courage to fight a war to defend our principles. DECEIT just isn't one of those principles!!! That, in my opinion is exactly what Maines said and implied. On that, my personnal choice is a definitive THUMBS UP FOR MAINES' statement, standing for 'The end does not justify the means'. And thumbs down for DECEIT; ...even when it is out the mouth of a President from Texas. |
