I hope not, but with the Senate talking about giving Fannie Mac and Fannie Mae direct access to Fed Res funds to keep them afloat, Id say the value of the dollar will go wayyyyyyy down!

Nah, the recession is all in your head, Interest rates are down! Just go borrow more & buy whatever you hear desires! Wal mart has everything, & you can charge it! As long as you keep buying it will be OK! Do you need another stimulas check?

Easy credit, creditors requiring full insurance coverage, keeping up with the Joneses. I have been the last owner of all my vehicles, except one I bought quickly because I needed wheels & it was a deal. I paid 1500.00 drove it for 10 months & sold it for 1600.00 |

Getting back to IndyMac closing, If I had much money in savings, I'd be splitting it up between several banks. Everyone ought to get prepared for a run on the banks, stock up on essentials & have some cash in the house. I am from Hurricane country & I am preparing.

hmmmm...just read on Yahoo that 5 banks have gone tits up this year. That is way below the average of 155 per year, and way below the S&l crisis of several years ago when 7500 s&l's went under in one year. Besides, Indymac is an s&l, not a bank
