Topic: feet in the sand | |

I stand before you a humble, unguarded man. My shield is down and my feet firmly planted in the sand. My heart and mind is exposed to your eyes, in my words you will find no lies. You can look into my eyes and see the ocean, time on my hands and the world on my face. A simple, modest man. A father struggling to keep pace. A son with only my word to my name. Truth, honesty, loyalty without fear or shame. My heart on my sleave, I know of pain. No my shirt is not red, but it bears the heartbled stain. Of my hearts love so few have felt and cherished. Aside from my kin relationships have all but perished. A man of the olden day, i'm evermore opening doors to give way. A respect for the young and old and the good Lord for my salvation i behold. I don't hold grudges or stones to cast, for at one time living in a house of glass i now have forgiven myself for my past. I stand before you a humble unguarded man. My shield is down and my feet are firmly planted in the sand.
