Theory requires ideas...not beliefs, theories can change, belief is a bit harder.

both can be proven, and both can be illusive to be proven, but many theories and beliefs have been proven and debunked through time....such as the world is flat, which was a belief, and theory......... so i just bide my time for both, and watch it unfold.

Theory: a: a hypothesis assumed for the sake of argument or investigation b: an unproved assumption : conjecture c: a body of theorems presenting a concise systematic view of a subject
