I have. One of the scarier experiences of my life. Guy had already been convicted of murder and was up on weapons charges. Trial itself wasn't so bad, but at the end when they had the jurors stand up and read their verdicts one by one with the defendant in the room...

I've had it a couple of times. Twice the person went to prison. It can be very scary.

I had Jury Duty once.. all most of us did since we never got picked was sit in a room and just try to make due with the whole thing.

That's what thing I hope to never have to go through ever again any time soon, I mean if there not gonna pick you then why bother even keeping you againest one will etc. devil mad explode

We didn't find out until after the trial ended that our defendant had been convicted of shooting two people on the street execution style. They said they didn't tell us because they thought it may have swayed the verdict. He was pending another trial for some other charges as well but I never heard anything on those.

If you're called in the lawyers presiding over the case will interview you before your selected. If they eliminate you as a jury selection it still counts as performing jury duty and you don't have to go to trial.. (Here anyway. It might be different where you're at though.)

I was for a solid month, over a stupid gasline the city had to put on the edge of this guys farm. all it was, was the farmer seeing a goose and trying to squeeze out a golden egg. He didnt care that without the gasline people for 100 miles would have no power; a sshole
