The women with the harsh feelings are probably picking the wrong guys. Reshuffle your cards and deal again.

respect our men for they are our back bone and our support for being us as women anyone else feel this way?

Not at all!

I've been on my own a lot longer than I've been with any man. I've learned to get things done without them. And certainly I don't need their help to support me being a woman. This is in no way a put down to the guys or bitterness on my part. When you're own you have to figure out a way to make it on your own. Even when I was married I couldn't always count on my husband. I usually got so tired of waiting around for him do something I just did it myself.

I am here to make friends.. NO one needs the other to survive. We were each born as individuals and will die as such. It is nice to have someone but you wont breathe your last breath without them.

I am not looking for man to be my 'backbone' or support me as a woman. Men do not understand women's issues enough to help us in that area and I don't need someone to help me move furniture and do repairs for me. Even the suggestion of this seems to place women in an subordinate postion to men. I am looking for a partner, not someone to carry me.

In a perfect world...but it doesn't work that way usually in the real world.
