I currently live with a ghost. She was a past living resident of my house (built originally in 1870).

Footsteps, lights being turned on, doors opening and closing, items being moved around in my house are pretty much the things that she does.

Those friends/family of mine who don't believe she is here after I tell them about her, I invite to stay for a few days. Without exception, they leave after having had a paranormal experience!

Care to stay?!

I get much of the same thing.. opening and closing doors...my kitchen cabinet doors opened all the time ...giggling can be heard from time to time in the closet in my oldest daughters bedroom...my daughter has alot go on in her bedroom .. but everyone who comes here sees or hears something.. like your house no one leaves empty handed so to speak lol

HAVE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCES IN MY PARENTS OLD HOUSE. MY BROTHER SAW AN OLD COUPLE IN A CORNER AND MY MOM SAW A LITTLE GIRL IN OLD FASHION CLOTHING

oh yes and i have heard them too..including..footsteps, heavy breathing, the crashing of something on a floor, and a bang at the window.

moving things? such as not throwing things across the room? just setting them?

ive had both happen the replacing where something is set has happened to me but the same objects were also thrown from the same area cause we put it back in its place... several times this happened with the same objects..

im curious.....most of my stuff happened in the night or evening hours except for one day.. and in the day it was several events within a 10 minute period.. how about the time that it happens to you?

MOSTLY AT NIGHT_ would hear the shower running, footsteps on the stairs, doors opening and closing,ect
A few times when I was young it happened during the day and my parents lied to me and told me the door slammed because the a/c kicked on but we knew it wasnt.

makes me wonder cause i heard it was usually at night.. i wonder why they pick the evening?.. and what makes them pick a day? to be honest the day one was pretty scarry for me..... and more violent-like

maybe they pick the evenings because we are out of the way. Who knows. I have to admit I am a huge chicken about the whole thing and dont care to investigate further!
All I know is one of my questions when buying a house is ' did anyone get murdered or die here?'
My parents said the first night we had moved into that house stuff started. I sooooo would have been outta there!!!

Supposedly, only christians (not just the title christian, but anyone who does or will eventually believe in a "God") are the ones who get to see these things. They are also the only people how can be possessed by demons as well. One "ghost" experience I had that another was lucky enough to see was when I was in the 6th grade.


We had just moved in this house across the street from my great grandma, along with other family members who lived on this street the same time. The history behind this house that I had (to be fair with any prior knowledge or stories was this) was a time 1 year before we moved there. My cousin Carmen (it was a boy) was outside of this out in the driveway with me and a friend of the neighborhood, as he lived with my great grandma across the street. The house was in an untidy condition, as the lawn was unkept, and gave a dismal feel to it. We were all laughing and talking and when things got quite, he said that house was haunted. I laughed at him and said "Yeah right foo, you only say that because of the condition it is in", and we left it at that. My mom was having trouble with my brother's dad and we left him. To keep me with friends we moved to a house nearby the school district (little did I know, they were building a new school in this area) and we ended up buying that house which was fixed up and ready to sell. With all that was going on, I never thought about a year before the condition it was in or what my cousin had told me. The 2nd day of moving all things in with my family there, my brother's dad busted into the house and stole my little brother. The family so scared did nothing and eventually later that evening he returned my little brother to home and left. The 3rd day, I was in my room drawing when I heard the doorbell ring. I went to answer the door to find 3 of my little cousins there and my cousin Roxanne who is the same age as me (which was about the age of 11 at this time). They asked if I would like to come outside and hang out, and I said "Sure, I just need to put somethings away real fast". I close the door almost all the way on them, but leave it cracked.

Now the way the house layout is from the front door, you have another set of doors to your immediate right. That was like a den area which had another set of doors that led to the hallway. There is also a window in this room. From the front door straight is where we had a piano and to the right of that wall is the hallway that leads around the den area. This hallway without the light and windows drawn is always somewhat dark. Then following the hallway down to the left is the bathroom door, further down and to the left again is my mom's bedroom. Straight ahead from the hallway is my little brother's room, and the hallway turns right and to the left is my room, following down all the way is the garage door. The den, we usually kept those doors open.

As I went to my room to put my things away, I walk from the hallway and cut through the den to the front door. As I made my way halfway through the den, I noticed I heard my feet dragging on the floor. I remember my mom telling me not to walk like that because that is how lazy people walk and so I stopped, but I heard the dragging of the feet continue. I look to my right which is where I heard it, and in the hallway I see a shadow of a short man walking down the hallway. I almost freaked out but remembered that my cousins were outside. Perhaps someone was shuffling their feet against the concrete and their reflection from outside was shinning through the closed blinds, and the little light that projected through them. Then I thought maybe one of them were in the house and trying to scared me. I get a snicker on my face as I open the front door, but the look on my face when I seen they were all there put them in worry. They quickly asked me what was wrong. I couldn't say anything out of fear, and I grabbed my cousin Roxanne and put her back to the beginning of the hallway. I am not sure what possessed me to do this, but I remember telling her "Just watch, just watch". She was looking around with a scared look on her face, and from what little shadow that outlined her body that was cast on the wall, another shadow walked out of hers and you can hear the feet dragging again as it begin back down the hallway. We both bolted out of the house to tell the rest of the family what happened.

The things that happen here in my house are random times of the day... the laughter we can hear is almost always at night...

But the other things... cabinet doors that open by themselves , the doors that close, footsteps, those sorts of things happen at all hours..
