About half of all marrages end in divorce.
A person should change things about themself so that the other person can be with them. If you are going to love someone you need to sacrifice yourself for them. Insted of wanting that perfect person, people should consider trying to be perfect for someone else, what does that person want or need? When both people sit around wating for the other one to make them happy, not very mutch will happen, thay both end up unhappy. Two people serving each other makes both satisfied. |

"If you are going to love someone you need to sacrifice yourself for them." You will have no luck in a relationship with that kind of attitude I am sorry to tell you. Granted both people may have to make some compromises, but you will never change your true nature no matter how hard you try. You can be a fake and a phony, but eventually you will have to be your true self. Being true to yourself does not mean that you have to be a jerk just because you have a poor self image of yourself as a jerk. We all should work on becoming better people, that is for sure. There is always room for improvement of yourself as a person. BUT you NEVER want to attempt to remake yourself to suit someone else in the hope that they will love you. That won't work, trust me on this. If a person does not love them self, they cannot love anyone else, and no matter how you change your self, if your significant other still cannot love you, then it is probably because he or she does not love them self. Spoken from years of experience, and I am old. JB |
