Topic: Anybody Else Get This Scammerish E-Mail? | |
---|---|
This popped up in the inbox this morning, and I can't say 100% for sure
it's a scammer, but the indicators are all there -- the bad English (not quite bad enough to be a Russian scam-type, but close), the all-too-rapid deploymant of a non-JSH e-mail address -- I won't report it because it's possible it's legit, but I'm skeptical. I checked the profile and it's nobody I'd be interested in talking to anyway, so there's no temptation to write to her. Just wondering if maybe this a mass mailing, and if anybody else got one of these. I'm going to ***** out all the personal indicators, but if you got one of these, you'll know what I'm talking about.... ============================================================== HI I am Miss ********** **** I am single ,23yrs .However How are you? hope you are fine and in perfect condition of health.I went through your profile and took intersest in it,if you don't mind i will like to know you much better, although i came online to look for a true and loving man that is ready for a true, honest and loving relationship and will be able to take good care of me if you are the kind of man am talking about then send me a mail now on my private email (*******************@*****.com) included,so that i will tell you all about myself and a picture of myself.looking forward to hear from you, thanks and God bless . Best Regard, Miss ********** =============================================================== |

I get those at times. Most are scammers. Most the time they say they
looked at my profile in their note, but it never showes up on people who have viewed you! LOL |

No but I got one the other day from a Miss*****, claimed to be going to
a university in New York, looking for friendship etc. etc. Definatly looked very much like a Russian scam. The english was terrible. I deleted it but I remember the username. |

I figured I would just ignore her, unless she was bothering other
people, too, in which case I think that would have proved she was a scammer....I wonder if someone reported her, and VC and Mike booted her? |
