What happens when there is no other options??

I live with my father because my ex husband abandoned the kids and I while I was pregnant with my youngest. We had no food, no money and the rent was due. Now my dad is helping me out by allowing us to stay with him so that I can go back to school and take care of my kids on my own...since their daddy has no intentions to help out.

If that is wrong, or makes me less of a catch, so be it. Being quick to judge others is totally wrong, ya know??
Don't worry about what people say or think, be glad you have a father that loves you and supports you and you have a place to stay. You will remember it fondly when you are older and dad isn't around anymore. It's nice that family can be close and help each other out. good luck

i lived with my mother for about 7 months... as others may have seen it... she had gotten outta bad situation had little money for rent.. and i let her stay at MY house...till she could find something suitable...one would "assume" that i lived with her in fact she lived with me..

yes i dated a man who lived in his moms house. so did his 2 kids live there....had i not gotten to know him and turned up my nose , i never would of known that yes it was HER house.
facts:1. he paid the bills< all of them>
2.she had cancer really bad
3. he did all the housework and most of the cooking.
4. he did as his dead father wished< to take care of momma>
5. he took her to all her dr appointments
6. he cleaned up her bloody vomit till the day she died.
7. when she died, the house was divided evenly between all 3 kids.<although he had paid all her bills for 3 yrs and the only one who took care of her>

does that make him less of a man? for living with his ma? i think not!!!!! cant get a man better than that!

sounds like a good mandrinker

If he's still at home because he's lazy or trying to save money....NO noway

What if he's still at home because he's still 22 and the full-time job still doesn't pay quite enough, but he is paying his folks room & board? scared

22 is very young, but by the same token, since you are young.....how about getting a second job? Just a thought and I'm not judging. I don't think girls in your age group would have a problem with you living with your parents. If it works for you.......drinker

flowerforyou If you are a fully independant, adult woman, would you feel comfortable dating a man that lived with his mother?flowerforyou

Depends on the situation. I knew a man who not so much lived with his mother as his mother lived with him because she had Alzheimer's and he was taking care of her. He worked full-time and took care of her until her care required constant attention.

If they are living with mom and not working, just free-loading then no way!

If they are living with mom, working, but just not ready to move out...still... no way! That smacks of mamma's boy to me.

If I get along with his mom, it'd be okay with me, but if it'd be otherwise, nah uh.
