It was in August of '83, and was followed by one of the worst personal days of my life actually.

My audition for the NY City Ballet was incredible and so far felt extremely promising...I have never been happier than when I saw my name on the last cut list that day, even though it was not the final cut list.

The next day I took a fall and tore my achilles tendon badly and did not dance again for 2 years for it.

I knew that day I had reached the highest level of hope to accomplish a life long dream, and the next day I knew that the opportunity would never be available to me again.
