gotta go with what feels right to you.Have herd of the ones that have
boo coo bucks and do that too.I personally like to help accident or
weather broken ppl since you know they are ppl that are honestly
trying. They just got bombed with bad circumstance's.A person waving a
cup from a park bench is not honestly trying to me.

Some people have mental conditions and some have physical conditions that keep them from working. Ever think of that? They just do not know where to turn.

So maybe I'm actually doing it more for myself. That's the part that
worries me.

i wouldn't worry about it.....we all "do" things that are selfish in nature....but have they appearance of an altruistic act...

"For some have entertained angels unaware..."

I lived in the city for a while, and I never had a guy, and would often ignore most panhandlers (hey, I was young and broke then). However, when I had a windfall, I would tend to share. I can remember a man asking for some change once out on Colfax. I just said, "hang on, I'll be back." I went into the seven eleven just up the street, bought him a sandwich, quart of milk some chips and a pack of smokes, plus put a five in the bag with them. He looked at me with his eyes starting to swell with tears, and said "this is too much, I can't repay you." I just smiled and said, "Buddy, maybe this time next year, I'll be standing on this corner, and you can buy me a sandwich."
