Speaking from experience, my last ex proposed to me. We dated for about six months. I asked her early on (like after two months) what her feelings were about marriage. She said no way as she had been divorced for twelve years.
After six months of dating, we went on a ten day Caribbean island hopping cruise. On the fifth day at sea, while we were on the balcony of our state room, she came right out and asked me to marry her. I was so caught by surprise that my response was; "who am I to say no". I should have as we married four months later, then divorced a year later. I should have said "NO"! But yes, why not? Women can and have proposed marriage! |
