God's Pottery

We're all pieces of clay
GOd's own little pottery barn,
He molds us and shapes us
And keeps us from all harm.
He wraps His hands around us
Puts us on His potter's wheel,
He sees what He can come up with
Forming what He feels.

He does the best He can
With what He has to work with,
It is all up to us
Once we were given the first breath.
Some of us are molded into masterpieces
Some wind up with holes,
Some trash their lives away
While others, give unto their souls.

God isn't finished with me yet
I'm still in need of repair,
He will mold and shape me
With His gentle care.
Don't take chances in life
Such as that, with the lottery,
Let God take your life
Cause you're His piece of pottery.
