I don't know what your experience has been, but sometimes people read games into honest situations too. Wanting to go slow is not necessarily playing hard to get. Being scared and needing to back up a step and collect your thoughts, so that you can move forward without apprehension is not necessarily playing cat and mouse.

I think sometimes people only hear the parts of the conversations they want to...the dreamy and lovely parts and miss the honesty that the other may be trying to share. This can lead to the assumption that they are playing games with us
when in fact they are just going through honest and real emotional blocks that given patience and understanding can easily be rectified in time.

This does not apply to me and I'm not saying it applies to you...it's just an observation, so am just sayin'.
