I got this e-mail from the ex yesterday:

"Dad has gotten much worse. Earlier this week he told me about the dreams he had. One night he dreamed he was dead. The next he dreamed his dad came down from heaven & held his hand out to him. He's been getting more confused all week. Today he didn't recognize my sister & didn't know is own name. When I talked with him on the phone he kept forgetting that I am old enough to drive & kept asking about people I was friends wtih in high school. The hospice people say the cancer has gone to his brain. His lungs are filling up with fluid. He won't be getting out of bed much if any, anymore. I'm afraid it's getting near the end. I know you already do it, but please say a special prayer for my Dad & Mom."

I've been forbidden by their daughter from making any contact with them, because "they are fragile, don't understand divorce" and "it would be very upsetting to them" to hear from me. I haven't seen or spoken to them since my decision to divorce their son last Nov.

I have been praying for them both since we found out about Pap's illness a year ago. After all they've given me, it just doesn't seem to be enough. So, I am coming to you to ask for prayer for them, please. They have been together for nearly 54 years...it is heart-breaking to think of Gram being left without him. Pap has been a kind, gentle man his entire life, and my hope is that he be allowed to remain free of pain. Please pray that he will be able to leave this life in peace and comfort.

My and prayers go out to you and your Mom&Dad. I pray that his time left if free of all pain. I pray for your Mom that she can find comfort and peace within herself during this time of disappointment that is coming her way. I also pray for you that you can withstand all of the things that are to come.

I think God is already with this man and holding his hand! He has taken his mind back to a happier time when he was healthy and life was grand. I wouldn't worry about his dreams of dying. I think this too is God showing him a happier future and helping him to prepare for the inevitable!
I will pray for him and thank God for walking these final miles with him!

Lord God I anoint you....I thank for all the prayers being answered on JSH. I thank you Lord for all that you do in my life as well as all here.....

Lord God I know that when two or more are gathered in Your name Mighty things happen....Whether it be your will to take this wonderful man to be with you Father or heal his body and mind for your purpose....It is all of you Father God. I ask Lord that you keep this family's eyes and hearts firmly planted with you Lord, Let them know that their dad, Father in Law, and husband will be ushered in when it truly is his time to go.....Give his family strength, give the doctors the wisdom and guidance, and most of all Lord keep him free of pain. Let him dream of being with you Lord Almighty and free his body of any and all pain.

If it is your will and for the Grace of you Mighty God, Heal his body, from the top of his head, to the tips of his toes heal all the cancer, and all that is ailing him Lord.

Also Lord I ask that hearts be healed so that all in this family can reunite as they are just that...family and there is no greater thing on this planet in your eyes then family....Heal all, Let all see clear.....Let all hear your whispers of forgivness.....


Lastly but by no mean least.....Lord God wrap you arms strongly around his wife....that no matter what happens she turn and gathers strength from you....For this is not goodbye if that is the case....but rather until we meet again my precious husband.....All this is given with a humble heart Lord God...and I say thank you Mighty Lord and it Your most precious Mighty name

One of my husbands died from brain cancer..it had gone to his lungs as well. He didn't last long. It was very fast in fact from the time we found out til his demise. I prayed that the Lord would take him and not let him linger in pain and suffering. He was a wonderful man.

My other husband had dreamed he died. A week later he did. No kidding. Respiratory arrest due to myocardio infarction. Very fast as well. Another wonderful man.
I have been very lucky with my men. Very lucky, just didn't get to keep'em.

Dearest Lord of mercies and life, please lay upon this family the will and the strengths to carry on and have no animosities toward those that also love.
Give generously your blessings and take pain away from this man, giving him hope of another life full of dreams and happiness.

Place upon these family members healing love and precious memories.

Lord God through Jesus the Son almighty, we pray for Lou Lou and all to find peace.

How is he doing?


Prayers still going out to all.

Well I guess its his time to go. It happens. My grandfather was battling diabetes, lost 1 of his legs, lost some vision with his eyes, losing his mind sayin weird things and havin heart disease. he was 80yrs old and it was his time go and he past away. But I know how its feels my grandma still cries from time to time about him but he is in a better place. and its been over 6yrs since he past away n my grandma is still stayin strong along with my family! We all get 2 a old age its time to go we all cant live 4ever! But we shouly appreciate the life they had n wat they brought to ours!
