what's your favorite kind? who is your favorite band? do you play an
instrument or sing? do you wish you could? music is my life. |

I'm a music freak. I love country classics, and the oldies. CCR is my
favorite band ever. If you're old enough to remember the 70's you'll know what I'm talking about. I play a bit of guitar and keyboard. Use to be able to sing, but not much anymore, I've been smoking for too long |

I've been in a number of bands, playing guitar, bass, and keyboards well
enough to fool people who were either deaf or not paying attention. |

I'm a music junkie. Rock is my first choice on the radio. I can play a
little on the piano. Clairinet in grades 6,7. Can not sing to save my life though |

i have 22 days worth of music on my computer. i probably have something
all of you would like. i'm not old enough to remember the 70's, but CCR is timeless. i played clarinet for 9 years, started playing bass in 9th grade. now i'm a jazz bass major. i also dabble in drums, guitar, piano, flute, and violin. i also sing in chorus. i've been listening to a lot of early free jazz lately. |

I like anything played in a minor key--even commercials.

I love to rock, but like all kinds of music (even disco, but don't tell
anyone, have a reputation to keep up LOL).I sing, & play guitar in rock cover band, and I rock on Guitar Hero 1 & 2. |

don't be ashamed of liking country. a lot of it sounds really hokey, but
that's just because of the instrumentation. there are a lot of really well written country songs, and a lot of very talented musicians playing them. |

MB, I see you mentioned violin. Have you ever tried the electric
violin? I'm kind of intrigued by some of the things I've heard from Jean Luc Ponty and Eddie Jobson, and I'm wondering how difficult it would be to learn to play one of them there things. |

im a music freak too ...cant live without it
sublime, skynard, zepplin, sabbath, the who |

In my experience, string instruments wreck havoc on the manicure.LOL
OK, I'm going away. |
|

and i sing and sing well at that

jean luc ponty is the balls. i have never played an electric violin. i
do know that violin is a pain for me, because i'm used to the way a bass is tuned, and because the notes are so much closer together. i'm used to having to keep my hand spread quite wide. but as long as you dedicate yourself to an instrument, and pay your dues, you can learn to be a good player. |

The thing I liked about bass was, after playing lead guitar for 3 years,
bass was relatively simple to pick up. Oh, look, fewer strings, and they're bigger! But I could never really play it in terms of its root function. I wound up using a bass synthesizer for the "standard" pattern, while I was free to canoodle around with the bass guitar. So the sonngs had a lot of bottom to them, but I like that anyway. Gives it a sort of Gary Numan-morbid-paranoid aspect. |

i like classic rock/ new alternative...favorite band is 3 doors down..
however still once in a blue moon listen to country was in that for like 5 yrs.. favorite band there is diamond rio. lve lots of old clasic rock bands lol |

no band will ever rock as hard as led zeppelin. i first started bass
because i figured "4 strings, 4 fingers..." then i got a five string..... but now i'm concentrating on upright, because it is by far the coolest instrument ever invented. |

me...i like anything with a good beat....something i can play my spoons
to...now don't laugh...i play a mean set of spoons... My kids tell me I'm stuck in the 60's, but they are wrong...i like such a variety of music and envy all with the talent to carry a tune...really do wish i could sing...my heart does, but not the voice.....lol |

i love led zepplin too
