help in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?

Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal
government hasn't solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks (and trailers) are?

Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotels
in Chicago?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees
that failed in Des Moines?

Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks?

Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis shoes and big screen
television sets?

When will we hear Governor Chet Culver say that he wants to rebuild a
"vanilla" Iowa, because that's the way God wants it?

Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports of
cannibalism?

Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates white, rural people?

How come in 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever again?

hmmm Richard, good questions. I don't know unless maybe the country watched the monster that was Katrina churning along and slowly moving towards its target? I think by the mere force of a hurricane Maybe we watch that coverage more? Certainly doesn't make it any less horrific.

the national guard has been called to Iowa .. I want to know since when did this country expect that goverment to always take care of them .. My parents just lost about 81k in the tornados that hit Missouri.. we are insured but they are some of the lucky ones .. some folks lost thier lives .. This country was built by people that can get knocked down and get back up again .. maybe it it time we all found our backbone.. Why do they need celebrities since you are concerned why not make some calls and maybe raise some funds or volunteer your time .. why is it always someone elses job

I was there last weekend helping clean up and it was amazing, people from ALL over was there, teens and younger were working their butts off, its unreal the kindness people show for people they have never known!!!
