from my understanding there are a lot of Al qaeda network that have strongholds in iraq??? perhaps we need more troops and to cover a broader area??? There was no Al qaeda in Iraq at all until we invaded, and very little after! The reason the surge appears to be working is because Sadr ordered his 60,000 plus man militia to stand down! |

I think Sadr has a plan to try to take the country on Bush's terms. He is standing down in an attempt have his party gain enough seats in Parliament for him to be elected PM! I think he will succeed unless the puppet Malaki manages to block him on some trumped up legal grounds! I think if that happens his militia will cease to stand down and American troop casualties will increase dramatically again as the country drops deeper into civil war! I think should US troops leave the Iraqi people will overrun the current puppet gov and once again return to a gov of their own choice!! |
