How many here are parents of an only child? Was your child spoiled?

My only child, my daughter, who's now 31. She was spoiled but not by me
--- by her grandmother. Though she's one of seven or eight
grandchildren.

I was one of six and I keep reminding her she doesn't know how good she
had it, being an only child.

Actually, I must be spoiled. Why else would I have such an awesome kid?

I've set limits to everything so, she knows to appreciate the finer
things in life.
Now her grandparents on the other hand....they just don't
listen!

I'm my dad's only child and I was VERY spoiled growing up... in fact, I
kind of still am. Now that I have my own little girl I try not to let
her get away with the same things that I did.

I am a only child and i was spolied rotten growing up.. but not spolied
to the point where i got everything handed to me on a sliver platter.
Ive worked hard i am only 21 but when my mom and step dad divourced i
was 18 and i moved out with her.. I finished high school and in the
summer i worked 2 jobs starting from 8 am to 5 pm <-- one job, than 5:30
pm to 12:00 midnite<--second job everyday and i gave my mom a whole pay
cheque from ym one job to pay rent. then rite outta high school i got a
job as a production tech paying $25.oo n hour. So i have always belived
in working hard and helping those who need it
