Yes, most people did. Times were tough but they got thru it. I dont know if todays kids could. I, to this day can walk thru a woods and point out the various edible plants. Between what pop taught me and what I learned from scouting I would not starve. What the heck is going on here earlier there was a topic about the sixties but when I go to respond it disappears the 60s topic is back i think it's the one you're talking about

Good afternoon Rob, carolanne, musichic. How has your day been going. Mines been great. Went for a long walk about 4miles. Climbed one to many hills though. Looks like I just got back in time. Started to rain again. At least it let me have over 3hrs to play in the park. in between the rain.
