what are your views on eloping in vegas....is it romantic or cheap and trashy or what

The drive through ones probably aren't very expensive....

nothing is wrong with eloping.. thats what i did when i got married to my son dad. actually his family knew but my family didnt. we just eloped away from my family .. but its not trashy. i know several people did that..

My kid-brother did that with his (now ex-) wife. He kept us totally in the dark up until after it happened. Of course, HER family knew all about it.

Ironically enough, all the dirty laundry that tends to show up after eloping eventually came out not long afterward, and they ended up getting divorced some years later. And -of course- he had to depend on the elder brother (namely ME) to help bail him out of the jam he himself got into.

So you can pretty much tell that I'm not a big fan of that stuff. It might not be cheap or trashy or romantic, but isn't all it's cracked up to be.
