Topic: What do you think of parents..

Well, I am well into my 40's and never been to a bar in my life. The reason...I married very young (15) to a much older man and he never went to bars. But, a part of me feels immature LOL Peccy said he will take me to one, though But, it's ok now...my daughter is almost 16 and I am a big girl now Go without Peccy, you'll get alot of drinks....

do you really have to ask what we think of someone that leaves their kids with just anyone to go out drinking? Its just a question for discussion

once in a while hiring a familiar babysitter so parents can enjoy a night of drinking/dancing is ok in my books Yes i believe that once in awhile...but not excessively

who still continue to go nightclubbing? Like they are in theeir 30s and 40s and only want to party that they just leave their kids with anyone so they can go out?? guilty of clubbing, but not of leaving my kids with just anyone

If the children are older teens, hopefully, the parents can date each other without having to be concerned or have their kids tied to their apron strings. Dating each other/scheduling "alone-time" is healthy and recommended in a long-term committed relationship or marriage. If the adolescent is on the younger side, I don't see anything wrong with hiring a baby-sitter once a month so the parents can do their own thing. That being said, a parent's first responsibility is to their child. Abandoning your child to go drinking or drugging every chance you get is just poor parenting. It is neglectful.

There is a difference between going out with adult friends and just being irresponsible. Case in point. Know of a woman who stopped at a bar and left her young (6 and 2) children in the car. The 2 year old was having some medical problems. She was there for a couple of hours. BTW - this happened about 14 years ago.
