Val, I'm wondering if it is a spider bite. It is puffy now and there are red streaks going out in both directions from the bite. red streaks are not good----some type of poision....should go get it checked especially if the streaks continue to grow~~~~Mom~~~~ |

I got bit by a spider at work...on my wrist..my arm swelled up all pink from my fingertips to my elbow..full of puss and blood..had to go on antibiotics and keep an eye on it..it finally opened and popped on it's own..it was the nastiest thing i've ever seen!! still have the scar from it.

Do you have Black Widows down your way? Sounds like either a Brown Recluse or Black Widow...either way go see a doc. Both have a nasty venom.
In the mean time try a pultist of baking soda and very little water - just enough to make a paste.

 Winx...No she's just buzzin along. Brown recluse...hmmm I'll have to google that. I worked with a girl that got bitten by one of those on her outer thigh, she thought it was in her car, and she got really sick and had this huge huge target like mark on the side of her leg. I've been bitten by one before. My father has had two bites and needed surgery for both of them. I don't think that they have red streaks at the beginning phase of the bite. Btw, I'm allergic to bees so I need to stay away from you for awhile.

Could it have been a deer tick? Maybe you should get checked for Lyme disease. I know people who have it and untreated it gets mean.
