I think it depends on whether or not it was any of my business. Some things are just private and should remain so. I prefer you tell me you cannot share that info, or don't choose to...but never ever lie to me. It's an insult. I understand privacy and there are certainly things that fall under that category for everyone. But flat out lies are untolerable and a disservice to both people in the conversation. |

I'm not saying how many women have you been with kinda stuff... like what was your previous job...things that don't matter one way or the other. |

Lying about one's past is pretty serious. Makes you wonder what else they've lied about.

So if you lie in that way to protect your privacy I don't know that it is necessarily the end of the relationship. |

lies to you about their past, how do you deal with it? It's depends, have to wait and see what happens. There can be so many things, but for the most part, id say i have an open mind. Then again it's better to find out through them then yourself... |

I would rather they tell me nothing than to lie about it. Privacy, I can handle...even one lie makes me distrustful of them about everything they've ever told me. I can't see staying with someone I cannot trust completely.

lies to you about their past, how do you deal with it? People eventually tell on themselves eventually, anyway and it doesn't take much to figure it out. I generally show intolerance for lies like that but give them a chance to come clean. I can handle a good deal of honesty as long as they're trying to save their a$$. Saving face lies don't cut it though. |
