I have noticed that there seems to be a large number of health care workers on here. What is it about that occupation that is so hard on relationships? Is it the hours, or the pressures of tending to ppl's wants and needs? Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Is it the hours, or the pressures of tending to ppl's wants and needs? Can anyone enlighten me on this? I have friends who are single because of being a health care worker. They say they work too many hours and what's even worse is because they have been in the position for so long and dealt with so many people with bad attitudes(constant complaining), that it's hard for them to be around people with out having an attitude them self. |

What are you saying about us health care peeps Willy? Just wondering if your jobs is really hard on relationships, to keep them and grow them. At our local hosp, the majority of the nurses are single also. Just wondering |

I am not sure what the answer to that is. I think I am easy to get along with even dealing with the crap I deal with in the ER. And I really think I would be a good catch...lol

I am an operating room nurse, because my people skills are gone. 10 mins after meeting them, the are out. Most times they won't even remember me. Its like stealth mode.
