yesterday in my hometown which is currently one of the flooded towns in iowa a group of 8 people decided to boat on the river. mind you that the river today is at 20.51 feet twice the flood stage. well they capsized their boat, the fire dept lost a boat as did the sheriffs dept. i am amazed somedays at the stupidity of people.

Blue, are you in Iowa City? no down river in ottumwa iowa city, cedar rapids, and des moines are the hardest hit right now but it will all flow down river. but i dont think we will flood as bad. I was in Iowa City last year, a freinds daughter graduated from the University. What a beautiful city! I can't belive it went under water! How terrible!  I hope you are safe and stay dry. |
