ok this might sound gross but... I have my lip pierced for about 7months now and Im still getting some clear puss coming from it...its not red or swollen. Just concerned....anyone know why or what I can do to fix it? I still clean it

My buddy had that happen.. He took it out for about 2 weeks, and still cleaned it and everything, and then put it back in. Problem cleared up because he had an alergy to the metal in the ring.

i dont know i dont have that done but my daughter had her belly button done and they used the excuse her skin was too thin and she went back to them they told her her skin was too thin... well hello they peirced it too thin!!!! and it took 2 yrs to heal she had those problems.... maybe you should consult with another lip piercing clenic? she just continued to do what she was supposed to....

my nipple still does that from time to time, and ive had it pierced for years, i dont think its anything to worry about, the best thing to use in the mouth though to keep it clean would be listerine, around the piercing (ring) something called "glyoxcide" sold OTC.

Awesome stuff. Dial soap is ok, but too much can irritate the piercing. Also, if it is stainless steel jewelry, try replacing it with 14k gold. A lot of people have reactions to the high nickel content in steel. Hope this helps. Used to do ear piercings and have had body piercings myself. |

It may sound odd, but since you can't wear gold, you can try a plastic or acrylic retainer until it heals. If you can find titanium, that would be even better. Steel allergies usually go away once the piercing is healed though. Good luck! |
