Ok me and my ex just told each other we still loved each other last night. I left him and I will never go back because we just didn't function as a couple. I will always love him because we have a child together, but we will never be married again. Is this weird? I'm happy for him because this woman is actually teaching him how to interact with his daughter and she's kind to my child. Have you ever loved someone, but the only answer was to say goodbye?

Yes, I still love my exgirlfriend and she still loves me but we know we don't do well as a couple and are much better off as friends. I would much rather have a healthy relationship as friends rather than an unhealthy relationship as a couple.

Many x's do have significant feelings for each other and often they are good. I would advise being careful because "accidents" happen and they can make life really difficult. Good luck.
