One of the things I used to love to do occasionally before my divorce was to cook dinner for my ex and have a candlelit or lamp lit dinner on the floor in our bedroom. It was sort of like a cross between a romantic dinner and picnic. Although it wasn’t in a well decorated dining room with candelabras and the whole nine yards, it was still intimate, yet the setting allowed us to have fun with it at the same time. I think having fun is important in keeping a relationship fresh bigsmile . What do you women think about something like that? Is it something you might enjoy, or do you have to do the whole dress up nicely, fancy lace tablecloth, candelabra thing every time you do a romantic dinner at home? Or are you in the same boat as I am and you never even get the chance at doing anything like that any more?

For a long time, I attempted it once a week...but after a few years of heating his plate up at 9:30 when he finally got home from work, I called it quits. Damn workaholics! grumble

Workaholics are people who need to realize there is much more to life than work. Do your job, do it well, then go home to your significant other / children and spend some quality time with all of them. I'd rather have a job that paid the bills and allowed me to have a life rather than be successful making lots of money, yet live alone in a houseful of strangers... flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

Good for you. I couldn't do that without feeling extremely lonely, so I don't, but whatever makes you feel good I think is a good thing... flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou
